Disciples Making Disciples

A DISCIPLESHIP STRATEGY FOR NORTH PINE BAPTIST CHURCH

Know - Grow - Sow

 One +One + One

In order to grow as a disciple of Jesus the Bible points to some key things to consider. Acts 2:42-47 speaks of the early Christians and their pattern of discipleship. In this passage we learn that they regularly met together in the Temple and in their homes. They came under the teaching of the Word of God and they prayed together. Along with this we are told that they served each other by helping meet one another’s needs as they were able. This was a great witness to their neighbours and we see that the result was more people being saved.

From this passage, and others, we can see the importance of regularly meeting together with other believers at Church and in our homes, as well as doing acts of service.

For your spiritual growth it is important to be committed to the regular attendance at ONE Church service, ONE home group, and to serve in at least ONE ministry. This will help you, and others, to KNOW, GROW and SOW.

“What makes life worthwhile is having a big enough objective, something which catches our imagination and lays hold of our allegiance, and this the Christian has in a way that no other person has. For what higher, more exalted, and more compelling goal can there be than to know God?”  – J I Packer
